Key milestone reached at Collector Wind Farm

A significant construction milestone at Collector Wind Farm was achieved this week with the first concrete poured into foundations in preparation for turbine towers to be installed next year.

The project team worked for around eight hours to pour the 400 cubic metres of concrete required for the first of 54 foundations.

This  important step in the construction program was reached ahead of schedule and, depending on the weather, up to 15 foundation pours could be completed by Christmas.

Progress has been good since construction started in April and the 226MW wind farm is on course to be operational in early 2021.

Keep up to date with progress at the project website.
