About the project

The Lincoln Gap Wind Farm complex will ultimately consist of 468 MW of wind turbines and is located near Port Augusta in South Australia.

The Lincoln Gap Wind Farms 1 & 2 comprise a total of 212 MW of fully operational wind turbines with the 126 MW Stage 1 completed in May 2021 and the 86 MW Stage 2 completed in March 2022. The project also includes a 10 MW grid scale battery storage.

The RATCH Group acquired the Lincoln Gap Wind Farm in December 2022 and it was integrated into RATCH Australia Corporation (RAC) in December 2023.

Lincoln Gap Wind Farm Stage 3 Development

The 278 MW Lincoln Gap Wind Farm Stage 3 and associated 120 MWh Battery Energy Storage System is under planning. Located adjacent to the operating Lincoln Gap 1 & 2 Wind Farms in the same land lease, the proposed Lincoln Gap Wind Farm Stage 3 development is a 42 Wind Turbines, 278 MW expansion project for the Lincoln Gap Wind Farm complex. The project includes a 130 MW BESS project.

The project has a development approval issued in 2021.
