jobs during peak constructionRATCH Australia Corporation (RAC) is proposing a battery energy storage system (BESS) in Gulgong, in central west New South Wales.
The proposed Beryl BESS would be located within the Central-West Orana Renewable Energy Zone (CWO REZ), which connects renewable energy projects and storage to deliver reliable, clean electricity across NSW.
The project would have a capacity of up to 100MW with two hours of storage (200MWh) and connect via a 132kV line to Transgrid’s Beryl Substation.
It supports government goals to increase clean, reliable energy supply while strengthening RAC’s role as an independent power producer.
RAC is committed to caring for communities and the environment and will engage stakeholders and the local community throughout the planning process.
