First energy export from Yandin Wind Farm

The first generation of renewable electricity from Yandin Wind Farm occurred today.

The wind farm has been connected to Western Australia’s network via 10km of new transmission line.

Construction continues at the site in the Dandaragan Shire. So far 34 of the 51 turbines have been installed.

Full production from the 214MW wind farm is expected later this year.

The project is a joint venture between RATCH-Australia and Alinta Energy, being managed by Alinta Energy.
