Two funds designed to support projects and initiatives in Collector opened for applications this month.
Upper Lachlan Shire Council administers one fund. Community groups based within 10km of the wind farm have until Friday 16 April to lodge a bid to share just under $183,000 this year.
The Collector Wind Farm Community Trust also opened for business this month. In its first year of operation there are $88,000 up for grabs in grants to local projects.Read More

Collector Wind Farm today successfully delivered its first energy into the local transmission network.
This initial generation of safe, reliable, renewable electricity follows the connection of the new substation to TransGrid’s 330kv line, which runs through the site.
Now that turbine blades are turning at the wind farm, testing will continue for the rest of 2020, with the 54 turbines expected to be fully operational in early 2021.Read More

The latest grants from the Mount Emerald Wind farm Community Fund have been announced.
Sixteen Far North Queensland community groups, charities, clubs and schools shared just under $100,000 in the second round of grants for 2020.
Once again, the standard of applications was extremely high and the advisory committee comprising local volunteers had a difficult job to recommend how the remaining funds for the year should be allocated.Read More
