Now the wind farm has been commissioned and is generating clean electricity, RATCH-Australia will contribute more than $270,000 per year for the project’s operating life to support local community causes and initiatives.

Two separate funds have been established, both focused on funding community enhancement projects within 10km of the wind farm.

Collector Wind Farm

Upper Lachlan Shire Collector Wind Farm s355 Fund

RATCH-Australia contribute more than $200,000 every year of the wind farm’s working life to the Community Enhancement Fund managed by Upper Lachlan Shire Council.

The contributions to both Collector community funds are index-linked to rise with annual inflation which ensures meaningful sums are available for local causes throughout the project’s operational life.

This year seven projects in the Collector area benefited from a combined $255,108.90 in funding from the Collector Wind Farm Community Fund for 2023/2024.

The fund is managed through an S355 committee, as it does with other similar projects in the area,  with decisions about which projects are supported made by a committee that includes council representatives and members of the local community.

Applications for the Collector Community c355 Fund closed at 5pm 24 May 2024.
